ARMED thieves fled with thousands of pounds in cash after a raid on a Chorley tourist attraction.
The gang struck at the popular Botany Bay Village, off Botany Brow, stealing more than [pounds sterling]20,000 from a stand-alone cash machine.
The offenders, armed with a crowbar, targeted the former 19th century cotton mill between 7.30pm on Sunday and 6.45am on Monday.
Police say the gang smashed a pane of glass above the ground floor fire door to gain entry to the centre.
