Hundreds gathered today (Monday) to pay an emotional farewell to Royal Marine Jonathan 'Dutchy' Holland, who was killed in a landmine blast in Afghanistan last month.
Around 500 people lined the streets in silence outside St George's CE Church, in Chorley before the 23-year-old's body was taken for a private committal with a nine-man firing party and lone bugler.
The street outside the church was brought to a standstill by the service as people flocked to pay their last respects to the fallen hero who was killed on a routine patrol in the Sangin Valley, Helmand Province.
