Chorleians from as far afield as Canada decended on the town for a reunion of former pupils of Chorley Grammar School. Around 80 people attended the event last week at Chorley Library, which used to house the old grammar school, with several travelling from across the UK and beyond to meet up with former classmates.
Ex-pat, Marian Wilkinson, who went to the school from 1937 to 1941, travelled more than 4,500 miles from her home in Ontario, Canada, and was delighted to have made the journey.
"I'm enjoying myself very much and have been catching up with a few familiar faces," she said.
