Article: Town's adult education centre gets the chop.

DRIFFIELD'S adult education centre has closed - prompting criticism in the town over the loss of further services.

The centre had operated from an office in Driffield School, but the school needed the room back to accommodate its own staff.

Rather than take up alternative premises in the town, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, which runs the adult education service, has decided to re-locate the staff member to Bridlington. They say the move will not affect classes and will allow more cash to be spent on learning.
