Heartbroken relatives and friends of five youngsters who were killed in an horrific road crash have been left shocked after callous vandals destroyed their memorial.
Margaret Hanley visited the memorial on Sunday afternoon to discover the plaque near the crash site, on Loundsley Green Road, had been ripped to pieces and vases smashed.
Her daughter Vicky Hanley (20) and son Steven Hicklin (8) and friends Lisa Speed (18), Clare Millward (19) and Ashley Cooper (20), all died when driver Lisa's MG Metro plunged off a bridge down a 20ft embankment, hit a wall and exploded in June1992.
