Carlos Silva knows that a guy with a 4-13 record doesn't have much room to be criticizing his teammates.
He knows that if he confronts his slacking coworkers, he's going to be the one who looks out of control and desperate.
But after another tough loss - this one 5-3 to Tampa Bay on Friday at Safeco Field - the Mariners right-hander said he's close to the brink.
"Maybe Chief (Silva's nickname) has to come and grab somebody in his neck and pin them to the wall," Silva said to reporters. "I'm very close to doing that, so write that down."
