BARTLESVILLE, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 1996-- Phillips Petroleum Company (NYSE:P) today announced that an appraisal well in the Bayu gas/condensate field in the Timor Sea between Indonesia and Australia encountered a thin, productive section of hydrocarbons on the eastern flank of the field.
The Bayu-3 well was drilled on Phillips-operated block ZOCA 91-13 to a total depth of 10,417 feet. The $6.5 million well was plugged and abandoned without testing.
