POLICE were patrolling the town on Friday night as part of the ongoing crackdown on violent crime and antisocial behaviour.
This time the officers focused on the Seaside, Princes Park, Vine Square, Fisherman's Green and seafront areas targeting antisocial behaviour and under-age drinking.
A large group of youths was found drinking in the Archery Road recreation area. Alcohol was seized from the youths and police will be writing to the parents/guardians of those involved.
Follow-up action will be taken, with licensed premises which have sold alcohol to under-age youths. Alcohol was also confiscated from two youths in Wartling Road and from several groups of youths ...
