CHICAGO - J.D. Drew has a message for Jacoby Ellsbury: The leadoff spot is all yours.
Ellsbury delivered his third straight multi-hit game from the bottom of the order last night, going 3-for-4 with his second home run in as many games to lead the Red Sox to a 6-2 victory over the White Sox.
Drew, meanwhile, batted leadoff for the fifth straight game. But with Ellsbury showing signs of chiseling a hole through the rookie wall, Drew is ready to cede his spot atop the lineup.
"He can have it anytime he's ready," Drew said. "I just go out there and do what I can. I don't have any ties to that spot by any means. He can have it."
