May 10--"It stinks," said Craig Smith, co-owner of Whitley's Peanut Factory.
He was talking about the closure of the Coleman Bridge, which is a few miles south of the Whitley's retail store on Route 17 in Gloucester County.
Business is down about 75 percent since the bridge was closed Saturday for reconstruction, Smith said Thursday.
But at the Gloucester Wal-Mart, "Saturday and Sunday was just like Christmas in here," said Carol Gertz, courtesy desk associate. "It was nonstop."
"When they're coming in the door, they're not coming in one at a time," said courtesy desk associate Robin Gay. "They're coming in 20 and 30 at a time."
