It wasn't too long ago when Eugene struggled to win at home. Now the Ems can't seem to lose.
Five Eugene pitchers combined on a shutout and Blake Tekotte and Bobby Verbick homered as the Ems completed the five-game sweep of Yakima with an 8-0 victory Sunday afternoon in front of 2,488 fans.
It was only the fifth time since 1994 the Ems have swept a five-game series and the first since the second home series of the 2007 season. Four of those sweeps have come against the Bears.
