HAYWARD, Calif. _ Paul Rockwell, a children's librarian known to clutch a teddy bear during story hour, is angry, man.
The colorblind society he envisioned emerging from the turmoil of the '60s has not come to pass. He thinks the values he fought for as a young man are under siege. And he knows there are others out there like him, because he has found them.
So, Rockwell and almost 350 others of his kind have banded together, becoming the latest group to weigh in on the affirmative action issue in California.
