ICE hockey's new zero tolerance rules have sparked a huge debate among fans, players and officials.
Two weeks into the season there have been calls for a complete re-think ? but the new approach is here to stay.
The initiative comes from the IIHF and applies to leagues worldwide, but it has yet to win widespread support.
Under zero tolerance, there are no specific new rules, but refs have been told to strictly enforce the laws.
The aim is remove the clutch and grab aspect from the sport but, so far, all it has succeeded in doing is producing more minor penalties and stoppages than ever.
