A HAVE-A-GO hero from Bebington was stabbed during a robbery outside a Wirral bank yesterday.
The 53-year-old man from Bebington tried to intervene after a lone robber armed with a knife followed a security guard into a bank at about 1.15pm in Rock Ferry.
The guard was making a cash delivery to Lloyds TSB on Old Chester Road when the offender launched himself at the guard knocking him to the floor.
The brave by-stander, understood to be a Lloyds TSB bank customer from Bebington, jumped in only for the robber to attack him with the knife.
