WE'RE about to see if that Midas Touch rubs off and boss Peter Barrett insists Kirkby Malzeard "cannot afford to lose" any of their next three games if they're to be considered serious challengers for the Harrogate League Premier crown.
Following Saturday's 4-2 win over Beckwithshaw Saints, Barrett is now unbeaten in ten games but up next is fourth-placed Spa Athletic at home (tomorrow, kick-off 2.15pm) followed by second placed Kirk Deighton away and a visit from leaders Sherwood.
The cups remain sixth placed Kirkby's best chance of silverware but Barrett hasn't given up hope of catching seven points clear Sherwood making the next three games essential. ...
