KENNETT SQUARE, Pa.--Calico Corners, the specialty retailer of home fabrics, is rapidly expanding its customer base through its new mail-order catalog and store openings.
In January, the company mailed a pilot issue of Calico Corners Fabric by Mail catalog. The positive results of that first effort probably will lead to two issues a year, five mailings of each, according to Bert Kerstetter, chief executive of Calico Corners' parent, Ever-fast Inc. The third drop--the second was in early March--this year will be later this month.
The catalog includes a wide selection of fabrics and the company's custom furniture, bedspreads and window treatments.
