A joint venture of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) and Arabian Roots Co will set up three pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB) factories in the region. Roots Steel, the joint venture firm, will set up factories in Damascus, Cairo and Abu Dhabi at a total investment of $80 million or around $27 million per factory. CPC will have a 70 per cent stake in the venture. Total production capacity envisaged is 300,000 tonnes per year or 100,000 tonnes per factory.
