Construction materials supplier Afrimat said this week it had secured a R90m contract to supply aggregate for phase one of the Medupi coal-fired power station in Lephalale, Limpopo, and that it had acquired a quarry and ready-mix plant in Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal, for R9m.
The Medupi contract, Afrimat's first foray into Limpopo, was in line with the company's strategy to extend its geographic footprint beyond its historic areas of operation.
