A FORMER Hastings Week colleague has added to the tributes to Gordon Hobson.
Mr Hobson, who was chairman of the Hastings Week Committee, died in his home on Friday morning after suffering a heart attack.
Councillor Richard Stevens served as vice-chairman on the committee and worked with Mr Hobson for more than 14 years.
He said: "Gordon was the driving force behind the transformation of what was originally just one day of commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of Hastings into an entire week jam-packed with a variety of events, concerts and ceremonies .
"Although Gordon lived in Westfield, everyone knew his heart was in Hastings.
