Article: JAPAN'S GUNZE TO ROLL OUT MORE, BETTER PLASTIC WRAP.

TOKYO, Aug 14 Asia Pulse - Japanese underwear maker Gunze Ltd. (TSE:3002) will spend roughly 4 billion yen to increase its plastic-wrap production capacity twofold by 2010, in response to the shift among manufacturers toward less packaging.

The investment will target the company's plastic film unit in Fukushima Prefecture, doubling its current output capacity of roughly 3,000 tons. Gunze hopes to raise that level to a maximum of around 7,000 to 8,000 tons by fiscal 2015.
