Q We live in Pennsylvania. Our son developed epilepsy at the age of nine. He is now 24 years old and no longer covered under our family's health insurance policy. He-is in excellent health, but requires twice-a-year blood tests to monitor therapeutic levels of his anti-seizure medication.
The company he now works for refuses to insure him although they are taking a deduction for the insurance premium out of his paycheck. Initially, his employer said he would have a six-month wait for coverage to begin because of his "pre-existing condition." But more than ayear has passed, and he is still not covered.
