CALDERDALE Council wants to start charging charity shops for bin bags.
The leading Conservative group is considering making voluntary organisations in the district pay [pounds sterling]1 for each bin liner they use.
The latest suggestion follows controversial budget proposals to make householders buy their own black dustbin bags, revealed in the Evening Courier on Saturday.
Charging the district's 35 charity shops for taking away their rubbish bags will save an estimated [pounds sterling]19,500 a year.
