THE 74th Mytholmroyd Chrysanthemum Show proved a success despite a drop in entries brought on by warm weather.
Mytholmroyd Chrysanthemum Society secretary Stuart Jackson said the unseasonal weather caused the flowers to bloom too early.
"The warm weather simply brought on most blooms too early for our show," he said. "However, the standards were high."
But Mr Jackson said the floral art section almost doubled to 25 exhibits - the largest entry for almost 10 years.
The secretary of Sowerby Bridge Chrysanthemum Society, John Swift, took best in show honours show in St Michael's Sunday School.
