AN extra [pounds sterling]200,000 a year is being earmarked for adult social care services in Cald-erdale to reduce waiting lists for home helps.
Councillors also plan to spend an extra [pounds sterling]500,000 next year boosting recycling and an extra [pounds sterling]100,000 a year on regeneration schemes.
But leisure centre opening hours look set to be slashed to make savings of almost [pounds sterling]100,000 a year. And grants to voluntary organisations will not be increased in line with inflation, enabling the council to save [pounds sterling]25,000 a year.
