LOS ANGELES, May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Powered by the launch of the world's first 64-bit video game machine and continued strong support for its existing technology, Nintendo of America Inc. projects it will capture 42 percent of all hardware and software revenues for the American home video game industry in the current fiscal year, clearly surpassing all rivals.

Nintendo projects retail sales of $1.487 billion for all Nintendo first- and third-party products, a growth of 18 percent over last year's performance, with the total U.S. video game industry projected to grow 17 percent to $3.581 billion. ...
