Wednesday, July 12: A family has said how life will never be the same again following the death of their three-year-old son in a tragic accident involving a window blind.
Nicholas Turner, of Chambersbury Lane in Hemel Hempstead, said he would never come to terms with how his son Jake died on December 22 last year.
Mr Turner spoke after an inquest ruled Jake died of asphyxiation after the cord of the blind got caught around his neck.
"You are never going to come to terms with it," he said.
"If we had had a choice we would go back and change things. It happened so quickly. You can't prepare for something like that. You don't expect it."
