The race to replace military tankers is on again, but the merits of the competing aircraft may get lost in media hype and congressional floor speeches.
The Pentagon must decide soon whether to stick with a larger Northrop Grumman tanker or choose a smaller Boeing jet. Fortunately, procurement officials learned in elementary school everything they need to decide which aircraft is more efficient.
