Middleton police believe a bank robber who hit the State Bank of Cross Plains Thursday morning is the same man who robbed the bank May 7.
The bank, 6300 University Ave., was robbed around 10:14 a.m.
Detectives said the robber, who remains at large, also is thought responsible for three other robberies in the last six months, including another branch of the State Bank of Cross Plains at 8301 University Ave. in Middleton on April 11. Other robberies attributed to the man include one at the M&I Bank in Monona on June 17 and the Amcore Bank on Odana Road, March 19.
