JAMES CITY, Va.--May 20--When tourists get to Josh Baldridge's section of Busch Gardens Williamsburg, it's his job to make sure they find their way around and don't see any trash on the ground.
Baldridge, 19, looks after the medieval hamlet of Hastings, England, in the theme park as an area host. He's one of some 4,000 people hired for the summer at Busch Gardens and nearby Water Country USA, both of which are Anheuser-Busch parks. Like many first-year employees at the parks, Baldridge is earning $4.55 an hour. On his current schedule, he works from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with an hour for lunch. On Saturdays, he works a 9+-hour day.
