A BOUNCER had an ear bitten off in a savage street attack.
The 22-year-old Hartlepool doorman has had his ear glued to the side of his head by surgeons in a bid to encourage the tissue to regrow.
The unnamed victim has also had to have wires secured to his knuckle bones which were damaged while trying to fight off his attacker.
The incident took place in the early hours of the morning when the bouncer, off-duty at the time, was walking to a friend's house in Easington Road for a party.
As he walked along Davison Drive, past Holy Trinity Church, a man jumped on him from behind and forced him to the ground, punching him two or three times ...
