WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 1996--Senior executives from Twentieth Century Mutual Funds and The Benham Group announced today that the operational integration of the two companies will be completed in September 1996.

At that time, Twentieth Century and Benham will function as a single company, enabling investors to purchase any of the family's more than 65 mutual funds with one phone call.

The merger update was provided to reporters covering the annual meeting of the Investment Company Institute, the mutual fund trade association.
