Jumaane Taylor emerges center stage from a crowd of dancers for an impromptu tap jam during Broadway Underground's spring show at B.B. King's in New York City. Emcee Jared Grimes yells into the microphone, "Go get it, Jumaane!" And Taylor does, drumming out rhythms intently with his feet. It's like he's putting a beat into the floor so the floor can tell the audience that this guy has soul. And from the way he moves across the stage hammering out triplicate sounds from single steps, the future is at his feet.
