A POLICE authority has agreed to spend [pounds sterling]3m on a state-of-the-art refurbishment at Hartlepool's police station.
Members of Cleveland Police Authority have agreed to a number of proposals, including a makeover of the custody suite and facilities at Hartlepool Police Station.
Other proposals put to the panel, which they agreed could go ahead, were the recruitment of 23 more police officers - with 20 of them used to support the expansion of Neighbourhood Policing right across the force area.
