A MAN had his prison sentence extended after committing a series of crimes.
Hartlepool man Graeme I'Anson took a car for a spin while over the limit and then failed to stop when police began following him.
Town magistrates heard that I'Anson had also stolen lager from a corner shop and was arrested for being drunk and disorderly after he abused police officers.
Richard Wilson, prosecuting, said the driving offences related to an incident before Christmas when I'Anson had taken a Ford Fiesta from a family member.
"He was heading up Brierton Lane when a PC saw the vehicle and began to follow it," said Mr Wilson.
