A DRINK driver was banned for three years after being caught near a hospital following a double family health worry in a matter of hours.
Hartlepool man Derek Barnfather, 59, had already paid a visit to the town's hospital himself for tests amid fears he may have cancer.
Later the same day, his wife fell down the stairs and had to be taken to hospital herself, town justices heard.
Barnfather was over the limit when police officers spoke to him at the main entrance of the University Hospital of Hartlepool when he went to collect his wife.
