A TEENAGER admitted hitting a younger boy - saying: "kids today were getting too cheeky for their own good."
Peter Dees, 18, from Hartlepool, was in the same football tournament as his victim.
And when the 14-year-old made his way home after being knocked out of the competition, Dees assaulted him, town justices were told.
Lynne Roberts-Plowman, prosecuting, said: ''The defendant chased after him and dragged him back by the legs. He tried to get away but the defendant jumped on top of him and caused his nose to burst.
''He then began to slap him around the face and neck."
