TONY Brown has been elected chief minister.
In a secret ballot in Tynwald this morning, 27 members voted in favour of Mr Brown, the only candidate, becoming chief minister.
Five members spoiled their papers.
When a vote was subsequently taken in public, only two members registed their opposition, Liberal Vannin MHKs Peter Karran and Bill Malarkey.

We all wish Tony Brown well as he picks a cabinet for the future - he'll need the wisdom of Solomon. He may be the choice of the MHKs but the online voting showed that 79% of the electorate don't support him. Why ? ...
