FLYBE has completed its deal to buy BA Connect.
The announcement of the completion of the protracted deal was made this morning (Monday).
BA Connect employs about 300 people in the Island, including 110 in its engineering section, which has sparked fears of serious job losses.
The fact Flybe has its aviation service base in Exeter, in particular, has sparked job fears.
However, a spokesman for Flybe said: 'The engineering base in the Isle of Man will continue to maintain the Embraer 145 fleet in the transitional period.
'Looking ahead, Flybe will investigate new business ventures such as a paint business for the Isle of Man.'
