THE Department of Health and Social Security says progress is being made in its quest to cut orthopaedics and ophthalmics waiting lists.
Last month Tynwald agreed to spend [pounds sterling]2 million on waiting list initiatives to help combat unacceptable delays.
'The majority of the measures necessary to undertake the orthopaedic waiting list initiative are now in place with the outstanding element being the appointment of the staff grade post,' said a DHSS spokesman.
