The widow of Reggie Lewis, the Boston Celtics captain and NBA all-star who, in 1993, collapsed while shooting baskets at a college gym and later died, recently filed a lawsuit against doctors who treated her late husband.

In the lawsuit, which was filed just months before the state's three-year statute of limitations, Donna Harris-Lewis charged that her late husband's treatment by Dr. Gilbert H. Mudge, Jr. and other cardiac specialists at Brigham and Women's Hospital was "rendered carelessly, unskillfully and negligently."
