THE business community has welcomed the introduction of lower priced flexible fares to be introduced by BA CitiExpress.
The regional airline will rebrand itself as BA Connect from February 1, in order to compete more effectively with low cost carriers.
Daily flights from the Island to Manchester, Gatwick and Luton will still run but the pricing and ticketing structure will change.
Prices on some routes will fall by 40 per cent, while restricted and non-changeable tickets will disappear.
The shake-up will mean that free refreshments and a business class will no longer be available on any flights other than three into London City airport. ...
