A new study has determined that California has a 99% chance of having a magnitude 6.7 or larger earthquake within the next 30 years, including a 67% probability of a large quake striking greater Los Angeles and a 63% probability of one hitting the San Francisco Bay area. The results of the study serve as a reminder that businesses and residents within earthquake-prone California need to exercise proper preparation and risk management.
