THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 1996--GTE announced Thursday that it will begin offering Caller ID service beginning June 15.
GTE customers can request the service beginning Thursday (May 23).
Caller ID enables subscribers to see the phone number of the person calling, even if it's an unlisted or nonpublished number and will work on both local and long distance calls.
