WASHINGTON -- Activist Charles Kernaghan -- who took TV performer Kathie Lee Gifford to task because items for her apparel line, he charged were being produced by children employed by a Honduran contractor -- is applauding her move to hire independent monitors to inspect factories producing the garments.
As reported, Gifford was scheduled to appear Wednesday night on ABC's "Primetime Live," during which she would announce the new inspection program.
