Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, along with his host King Juan Carlos of Spain, has opened the World Conference on Dialogue by calling on the true believers of the world's leading faiths to defeat extremist viewpoints, find common cause and foster a spirit of peace. He stated that major divisions among the faiths of the world were not caused by individual beliefs in God but by deviant viewpoints and misinterpretation (see also Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia).
