Industry sales advanced briskly in 1995, so it should come as no surprise that the Top 100 suppliers had a good year as well. Combined sales for this group increased 13.5% to $5.1 billion in 1995. Employment levels increased only 5.3% to 30,557, reflecting continued emphasis on productivity.

Data presented on the Top 100 list represents the gross sales of U.S. music products companies, including exports. In the case of foreign owned distribution subsidiaries, like Yamaha Corporation of America, Roland Corp. US, Boosey & Hawkes, and others, only United States sales are included.
