WOODY ALLEN yesterday revealed he would consider making a film in Ireland saying the country has the right light for beautiful films.
The multi-Oscar winning director, who has replaced his familiar New York backdrop with Europe in his last four major releases, said: Ireland is one of those places that lives up to the hype and is as beautiful as everyone tells you it is. Securing the services of Allen would be a coup for the tourist industry, which has seen the benefits of the Hollywood effect in the past. Blockbusters Far And Away, Saving Private Ryan and Braveheart were all shot here.
