MORE than 46,000 pupils will receive an offer of a place on a third-level course from the Central Applications Office today, the higher education body said.
This years CAO figures show a drop in the points requirements for many sought-after courses for the third year running.
There was a dip in the entry requirements for courses such as science and nursing, and an increase in the points needed for some arts degrees, while ever-popular staples like medicine remained largely the same.
