Now Lutonian looks for a crack at European or world title
Luton's British and Commonwealth lightweight boxing champion Graham Earl is ready to take on the world after another gutsy performance.
The 27-year-old Bedfordshire bruiser beat highly-rated Belarussian belter Yuri Romanov on points in a thriller at Dagenham's Goresbrooke Leisure Centre this evening.
Earl won the 12-round fight by 116 points to 114 after bossing the early rounds and then having to stand firm after being hurt in the ninth.
The big two got into the ring at around 10 o'clock and it was all Earl in the opening rounds.
