SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 28, 1996--Lockheed Martin Space & Range Systems, a business unit of Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT), has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Air Force with a proposed value of approximately $135 million to reduce operations and maintenance costs and provide increased operational capability to Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN).
The competitively won award, known as the Range and Communications Development Contract (RCDC), strengthens Lockheed Martin's role in the AFSCN, for which the company has performed significant design, development, integration operation and maintenance efforts over the last 30 years.
